The “Say Your Piece” form on this site apparently bears a resemblance to a guest book – and accordingly some particularly incompetent spammer had been trying to fill it with links to various dubious websites. Funny – but time consuming.
I have disabled the form pro tem until said spammer grows up/goes bankrupt/ falls out of his tree and will re-enable it soonest.

Maybe We Should Talk......
Language is probably one of the most effective barriers to communication ever devised by mankind. Doubtless is was not meant to be this way - but we do all tend to say one thing, mean another and probably express a third.
One occasionally wonders if the story of the tower of Babel is less parable and more an actual event.
If it is parable, then that is probably because God did not need to go to the trouble of all that confusion and falling masonry. Probably he already knew that scrambling man's ability to communicate verbally with his fellow person was almost as necessary as reminding us to breathe. We do that on our own as well.
If the story is true, then clearly when the Almighty does something - it stays done.
The GCL is an exploration of this concept as it happens in real life* on the small and sunny island of Cyprus. Enjoy, feel free to agree/disagree/be confused/fall asleep/finally discover the meaning of life or anything else that seems appropriate to you.
